Applications should be received no later than
March 1 of the year in which the school attendance is sought.
Please submit the following documents:
- Short resume
- Certificate of the highest school-leaving qualification achieved (e.g.: 10th grade/Abitur/…)
- Vocational school leaving certificate
- Skilled worker/journeyman certificate from the IHK or HWK
- Proof of professional experience (see FAQ)
- Additionally for foreign applicants
- Language certificate at level B2
- Visa (non-EU countries)

3rd possibility:
- Other vocational training (see FAQ)
- Professional experience in shoe manufacturing (at least 12 – 24 months)

Non-EU members must apply for a residence permit (visa) once they have been admitted to the technical college.

Duration |
The course lasts two years (2680 hours) and can be completed full-time. Training begins at the start of the school year after the summer vacation in Rhineland-Palatinate. |

Costs |
Attending the German Shoe School is free of charge. The costs for learning materials, training documents and other materials as well as an external examination amount to approx. 1200 €. The costs of the study trips offered are borne by the participants. The DSF is happy to assist in arranging accommodation. |
