The two-year training course at the German Shoe College is divided into learning modules in accordance with the Rhineland-Palatinate technical college regulations.
In the cross-disciplinary learning modules, in addition to technical skills, native and foreign language and IT communication skills are promoted and the corresponding work techniques are learned. In addition, there is a comprehensive focus on quality management.
At the same time, a work organization, materials science and production technology basis is established in the subject-related learning modules. The supplementary exercises in the workshops of the ISC Germany (International Shoe Competence Center) and the implementation of own designs and constructions in wearable shoes ensure a close connection to practice.
The cutting technique for developing shoe models is learned both in the traditional, manual way and by designing and projecting with CAD. This includes computer-controlled material cutting, calculation and size grading.
Information processing and robotics complement the focus-related learning modules.
The learning program is regularly supplemented by study trips in Germany and abroad.
